I recently bought a 102 Series Seagull. After stripping everything off, looking for worn parts etc, I noticed this piece of steel tube attached to the driveshaft tube. It doesn't move or slide. I believe that it was made so that the motor sat nicely in the water to whatever boat it was attached to. I intend (at the moment) to remove the attachment and get the tube rechromed. Is there a less intrusive adjustable type clamp available or would a suitable piece of stainless-steel tube that could be sleeved over the drive shaft tube and attached to the shaft by allen srews or similar?? Something that looks like it was made for it, not some homemade add-on. . . . jonmac Attachments:

The silver century has a black plastic cap forming half of the pivot
You can use 2 of these plastic caps back to back to make a neat & tidy adjustable depth system
