Jason , I assume your a Kiwi . It's very hard to price a motor with out pictures. I buy most of my motors on trade me , so the market decides the price and I pay about $250 for a tidy runner . usually There are things to replace or repair though and this can add considerably to the cost if you don't have a ready supply of parts . I think the trick is to buy motors that are in a good state ,no broken castings and little corrosion as it seems some people are willing to pay similar money for a tidy example as for a bucket of rusted bolts on trade me . Watch out for ones covered in fresh paint ! Learn to fear what hides underneath . No matter how tidy they look you never know what the water galleries in the block look like or the condition of the gear box until you get them a part . Paying a wee bit more for a motor from Simply seagulls or another enthusiast can be a great option , as there will be no hidden surprises and you know you'll get a good runner if your not mechanically minded . If you want a Sliver Century with a perfect gas tank and in show room condition I can put you in touch , but that would be closer to $ 500 . Though I guess your looking at a 102 ?

if it is complete and not seized but not running I usually pay between $50 - $100, if it is running up to $200

thanks for the reply chris,it looks like it would be a reasonable buy for $100 or under but have only seen picks so far, doesn`t say if it`s seized
